Created mock magazine spreads as part of LinkedIn Learning’s “Typography: Choosing and Combining Typefaces” course. The exercises provided practice in typography, layout composition, and Adobe Photoshop and InDesign skills.
CHARACTER DESIGN STYLES PRACTICE
Character Design / Illustration
CLIENT: Self, Personal Practice
Worked through a series of illustrations to explore a range of character design styles, ranging from a realistic redraw of the original reference, to more graphic, illustrative, and mimicked popular styles. This exercise improved my versatility as a character designer and helped to avoid getting locked in to one particular drawing style when the demands of my day job required me to draw for all different markets and age demographics. These are not AI images and have been hand drawn. Minor detail differences were made to best match the style they were drawn in.
